I use to scoff at this word because of my "uber-Christian" mindset.
No.... not lucky... you are blessed. "No such thing as luck!"
Well, after digging into the definition... I can now say... "oh heck yes there is a such thing and I AM LUCKY."
I am so lucky and thankful for amazing friends in my life. Friends that encourage, inspire and tell me to get real. They are ones I can go to, no matter how I'm feeling, and know I'll be heard. They are the ones who reciprocate and allow me to be there for them too. I've no always had friends like this. So... heck yes. I feel very lucky.
One such person is Rachel. I've had the absolute honor working for her the past five years at Inside Out. I can't believe it's been that long and I feel like we're only beginning. Every single conversation leaves me uplifted and ready to conquer the world. Her enthusiasm and determination is contagious and the genuine heart she has for others, is something I can get on board with. There is nothing fake or pretentious and that's the kind of friend qualities I want in my life.
For this page I used the gorgeous I Am collection from Simple Stories. It is definitely a favorite right now. I have so many page ideas swirling in my head for this collection. I managed to squeeze in some Word Thickers from American Crafts (Amy Tangerine) and Wood veneer stars (Studio Calico). I also used some gold mist by Jen Hadfield for Pebbles. (I'm kind of 50/50 with the mist right now. It's very watery and drippy. Gotta play some more!)
I also used the April sketch at Paper Issues. Love a good shape sketch to stretch me!
