Taking Notes

Hi everyone,

Well, it's that time of year again! Back to school! I am a teacher and I absolutely love my job. I feel like the new school year comes at the perfect time - no matter how much I loved a prior class. My classroom is all sparkly clean, all the labels look new and everything is fresh and ready. I thought, since this week is all about back to school projects, I would share something for a teacher or a student - an altered composition book. And, I used the perfect cut files from Just Nick!

Fun, right? And it's super easy to create one of these. This is a standard, hardcover composition book. The marbled kind. They can be found at just about every retailer. I've found the best price at Target. Especially around Back To School time. I use Mod Podge to apply the pattern paper and another strong adhesive, such as Glossy Accents, to apply all the small embellishments and details.

I love how the background cut file helps set apart the top layer of this book. And those marquee alphas! Hello!

Now you have the perfect gift to give to your childs teacher OR even personalize one for your own student.
