Today I'm sharing a "for fun" page. It's one that I started on National Scrapbook Day and was inspired by a challenge given at the Clique Kits NSD event. My vague memory is trying to recollect the exact challenge but, I'm thinking it had something to do with writing a note to self.
Self? Scrapbook Page???
I'm good at that.
I decided to finally dig into my papers and more from the Illustrated Faith collection Whatever is Lovely. It really is a beautiful collection.
Here is my page:
I used a cut file called Broken Mirror Background. I released the compound path, within the Silhouette Software, and removed the upper and lower rows of rectangles.
Then, I had some layering and stitching fun!
I cut the words 'fearfully' and 'wonderfully' with my Cameo, as well. The font used is called Daydreamer.
Something I've been embracing and encouraging other women with is the fact that God fearfully and wonderfully created us. We are indeed beautiful and amazing because HE created us. So many conversations I have with women include struggles with identity and self-labelling. Things like unworthy, victim, fat, unstable, etc. But, the fact is we are none of those things. They don't define us. My story includes coming to the realization that other humans, including myself, do not label or define me. My CREATOR does that... and He thinks his creation is rather wonderful. And he loves me.
Thanks for swinging by today! Feels good to get some blog posts back up on the blog, regularly.
