I'm sharing a card with you today using the lovely Sunshine & Happiness collection from Simple Stories. I. Am. A. Fan.
I purchased the 6x6 paper pad for my cards because I love that the patterns are scaled down for the smaller canvas.
Here is my card:
I always find the perfect element to use for my sentiment in the ephemera pack! It's the perfect size, too!
I created on a diagonal with this one. It's a favorite design base that I use on my cards. And then, depending on the collection I'm using and mood, I add everything else.
Here are a few close ups...
To make the ink splatter look so huge and "watercolory", I place a sheet of copy paper over the wet drops. It spreads the ink out in a fun way. Also, doing this helps to speed along the drying. Ain't nobody got time to wait for ink to dry!!!!!!!!
I'm not terribly creative with my washi tape. I love it, though! I just use it quite literally. For this, it gives the appearance of holding down this card... which it kind of is... but not on it's own. I also like it when the ends of it come up. Adds a fun little "messy" element to my, otherwise, clean and simple vibe. (As do the ink splatters!)
Thanks for swinging by today!
