I was up on the Clique Kits blog this past weekend sharing a card I created using the June Aquarelle kit from Clique kits. As an add-on, there is some awesome Shimmerz Dazzlers modeling paste you can get. It comes in a gorgeous color that goes perfectly with the kit. Love! I'm a big fan of paints and modeling paste. In fact, I've mixed some of my paint colors with my modeling paste and have loved the look. Plus, this Shimmerz version has shine! It looks so cool! I was excited to bust it open and use it on the smaller canvas of a card. I also dug around on You Tube for some tutorials and learn some new ways other than the typical "spread over a stencil" technique.
The first card I'm sharing, you can actually head over to the CK blog HERE to see more. Here is the card:
For this card I did a simple spreading of the Dazzlers on to a stencil. Easy peasy and I love how it brings more texture to this card. I even threw in some stitching!
I created one more card after finding the fabulous Missy Whidden's You Tube. She had several techniques for using Dazzlers and one caught my eye. Here is the link to the actual video but, I'll also talk you through it here.
First, here is the card:
I did a paint wash on the base of the card. While it was still wet, I placed a stencil of the top and then took a baby wipe to wipe across it. And wah lah... such a cool effect!
Add some awesome layers, ephemera and sequins, it's easy to make a few gorgeous cards with this kit!
Thanks for swinging by today!
